Hike Valle Verzasca

Take the post bus from Locarno to Sonogno – the last village in the Verzasca Valley – and then simply follow the Verzasca hiking trail (no. 74, Sentiero Verzasca) for as long as you wish. Walking to Lavertezzo takes about 3.5 hours. You can expect intoxicating water displays, dense chestnut forests, magnificent mountain panoramas and many quaint grotti with the finest local specialties. And if you've had enough hiking, take the post bus at the next stop.
