Hike Passo del Lucomagno – Acquacalda

The Lukmanier area is a European watershed and therefore particularly interesting: The waters flowing north here end up in the Rhine and eventually the North Sea. The streams flowing south feed the Ticino River, which empties into the Po and then the Mediterranean Sea. Anyone standing on the Passo dell’Uomo thus witnesses how gravity decides the path of a water droplet: Does it end 1000 km to the north or lie 500 km to the south?
