Description
A particularly beautiful hike with some highlights. The path through the Brächalp, past the Bergetensee, passing through the plant protection area, and the unique panorama from the Rietstöckli. A stop at the Nussbühl restaurant to end the day!
From Gumen, a lovely natural hiking trail leads towards Brächalp Oberstafel. From there you reach the idyllic Bergetensee, located within the plant protection area. Passing alpine roses, Turk's cap lilies, and mountain lilies, the trail continues on a narrow but well-developed path to the “Tüüfels Chilchli.” These are a legendary rock formation, prominently towering above the trail.
The path then leads to Rietstöckli, situated at the foot of Ortstock, between Braunwald and Urnerboden. Here you can see almost the entire valley. From the path, head back slightly and descend the steep slope on a good zigzag hiking trail down to Rietalp, where the cozy Nussbühl restaurant is not far away.
On a broad natural road and practically without elevation difference, it goes back to Braunwald (around 1 hour from Nussbühl to the village), where the Braunwaldbahn takes you back to Linthal in just 7 minutes.
