High-altitude hike from Oberalppass to Nätschen

Best Time of Year
Description
The hike starts at the 2033 m high Oberalppass. Initially, you ascend from there to Fellilücke, where you have a view both into the Fellital behind and back to Oberalppass. The gentle descent to Lutersee takes place via a rocky path. On hot days, a swim in Lutersee is recommended for the brave.
The high route with a great view over the Urserental now runs almost flat to Stöckli. Soon the four wind turbines come into the hiker’s view. Every year the turbines produce 4.5 million kWh of eco-friendly electricity. This covers the demand of about 1200 average households. Since 70% of the electricity is produced in the winter months, the wind farm is an ideal alternative to hydropower, which is mainly used in summer.
If your legs are not yet tired, you can take a small detour through the flowery upper part of Chilchenberg for the descent to Nätschen. Alternatively, the descent takes place via the forest road to Nätschen station or through the forest at Chilchenberg directly to Andermatt.
