Description
From the parking lot, the small road leads northwards to Rübiseeli, an amphibian area of national importance. In the catchment area of the Gross Laui, a wild stream feared in the valley, the painstakingly restored plank path alternates through fens and open woodland, past the Unterwengen and Ror alpines to Loo. From here the path climbs over the alp up to Looegg. From there the varied ridge hike leads southwards to the Haldimattstock. The ascent to the 1792 m high Haldimattstock is rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view: Following the flat ridge, the route branches down to Nünalp and over Heimegg to Rotspitz. From there it goes steeply downhill to the alpine huts of Glaubenbielen. There, the alpine hut café invites you to a well-deserved rest and refreshment.
