"Guyer-Zeller Path: Luppmentobelweg", Pfäffikon – Stoffel
Informationen zur Route
Best Time of Year
Description
The hike starts at Pfäffikon train station and ascends through the neighborhoods up to the Tobelweiher pond. It is nestled in the forest and offers an idyllic view all year round. The path then goes briefly steeply uphill before you reach the hamlet of Balchenstahl with its mill of the same name. For a short time, you follow the Schwarzenbächli stream. You pass through the village of Hittnau. In Oberhittnau, you continue on the path to the Luppmenweiher pond and further up to the Stoffel. The wooded summit offers little of a view. Nevertheless, the route through the different forests, ponds, and settlements is very attractive and varied.
The Guyer-Zeller paths were laid out by the industrialist Adolf Guyer-Zeller and together form a network of paths. The end of the Luppmentobelweg, the Stoffel, lies deep in the forest. We recommend combining it with another Guyer-Zeller path to, for example, reach the next bus stop at Bäretswil, Neuthal.
