Grindelwald - Abbachfall - Bussalp No. 22

The hike begins at Grindelwald station where you walk along Spillstattstrasse to the Geisstutz junction. From here, continue on Eschengasse, steadily climbing and slowly leaving the village behind. After passing the steep Lempengasse, the path meets the Mattenweg (near Weidli). It's worth pausing on the ascending Lempengasse to enjoy the magnificent panorama. At the Weidli bus stop, continue on Mattenweg and after a few minutes, reach the impressive Abbachfall, which carries a lot of water depending on the season. The hike continues over the "Matten" until the paved path ends in the forest. On the natural path towards Unterläger, enjoy a constantly changing panorama until you reach the idyllic mountain huts in Holzmattenläger. Along the stream, the destination Bussalp is near, and you can soon relax at the restaurant after the demanding hike.
