Glacier Bike Tour stage 6. Ilanz - Disentis

Stage 6 leads from Ilanz on Rhine Route number 2 initially classically along the river (and the Rhaetian Railway line), steadily gently uphill.

Immediately afterwards you switch in Danis to the right side of the Rhine in the direction of travel. Here you should make a small detour towards the village, because right on the street is the first street art hostel of Switzerland, the Autra Caussa. A tour around the house is worthwhile.

The next stop also offers a special art experience: OGNA is the largest walkable sculpture in Switzerland, created by the artist Matias Spescha at his birthplace Trun.

Then it continues via Surrein to Disentis and the last kilometers also steeper uphill, because the place is already at 1,130 meters. The townscape is characterized from a distance by the monumental building of the 1,400-year-old Benedictine Monastery.
