Glacier Bike Tour stage 4. Thusis - Bonaduz

You quickly leave Thusis and the Vorderrhein behind in the valley, as the 4th stage begins directly with the ascent to the Heinzenberg. You climb higher and higher at a pleasant incline, gaining more and more views with every meter.

Below in the valley, the Domleschg spreads out beautifully between Thusis and Rothenbrunnen. But the picturesque villages along the route are also worth seeing. In Flerden as well as in Sarn there are small farm shops and fountains to refill water. The high path then goes through the forest – and as soon as it clears, it offers a view of Chur, Reichenau, and Bonaduz in the valley. Straight north, the UNESCO World Heritage Sardona with the distinctive Tschingelhörner is impressively visible.

Soon after, you reach the Alpbeizli il Bot, where you best enjoy the view with carrot cake or cheese specialties. Weight doesn't hurt, then you roll more easily down to sunny Bonaduz at the exit of the Rhine Gorge.
