Girenbad – Täuferhöhle – Girenbad: “From Gorge to Cave”

You start in Girenbad near Hinwil. Here you have the opportunity to stock up on delicious, regional cheese for the cave picnic at the Chäsi Girenbad or at the Schupplis Geisse-Chäsi.

Shortly before Chäsi Girenbad, turn left into Badstrasse. Before the village ends, turn left again into Baumgartenweg. From there, follow the yellow hiking trail markers. At every crossroads in the forest, keep right until you reach a meadow. After the short section across the meadow, walk back between the trees where you take the left path. At the next junction, take the right fork. After a stretch along the forest edge, the path goes again between tree trunks. After about 200 meters, you come across the Täuferhöhle. Here you have the opportunity for a rest.

After visiting the cave, you reach a junction where you turn right. After the clearing, turn left and again at the next junction, turn left and continue downhill. Outside of the forest, you reach the junction on the meadow that you encountered on the way there. This time, turn left. Walk past the farm and follow the hiking trail that after a few meters leads back into the forest. There, keep left and follow the path always downhill until you reach the paved road. Follow this road until you reach Girenbad again.
