Girenbad – Schufelberger Egg – Bachtel: “Fondue Backpack Hike”

A cozy route for the whole family with a culinary highlight. Pick up the filled backpack with the complete fondue equipment at the Chäsi Girenbad. You start towards Schaugen, following the Wildbach. From there, the path leads further to Schufelberger Egg.

Now it is time for the well-deserved fondue; this magnificent spot offers a perfect place to linger. The path then takes a bit of an ascent as you walk through the forest up towards Bachtel. You can choose to go all the way up or start descending towards Girenbad a bit lower. The path takes you past the hamlet Moos and along the Wildbach back. Take the opportunity to shop when returning the fondue equipment at Chäsi Girenbad. The popular Bachtelstein cheese is particularly suitable as a souvenir for home, as its name refers to the local mountain of Hinwil.
