Description

A cozy route for the whole family with a culinary highlight. Pick up the filled backpack at Chäsi Girenbad with the complete equipment for your fondue. The backpack is full, now the route can start. You head towards Oberbernegg and turn into the forest at the TCS car park. Soon you will come to the Bernegg castle ruins. The walls of the ruins, as we see them today, were excavated in 1923 and reconstructed with stones in 1935. This is a great place to linger, enjoying a cozy fondue in nature.

After eating, continue through the forest to Tobelwisen. Along the fields, you walk towards Oberbernegg, a small hamlet, and from there back to Girenbad. Take the opportunity to shop when returning the fondue equipment at Chäsi Girenbad. The popular Bachtelstei is particularly suitable as a souvenir for home, as its name refers to Hinwil's local mountain.
