Ghöch via Allmen and Schufelberger Egg to Gibswil

Every Sunday in September and October, the yellow vintage bus of the Steam Railway Association Zurich Oberland runs from Bauma via Fischenthal to the Ghöch and back to Bauma via Bäretswil. Board in Bauma or Fischenthal and enjoy the nostalgic ride to the Ghöch, where you can start your hike.

From the Ghöch, you hike leisurely 100 meters uphill towards Allmen, the highest point of the hike at 1079 meters above sea level. Then the descent begins. You continuously walk downhill via Schufelberger Egg and Auenberg to Hintersennenberg and further via Wissengubel to Gibswil. In Gibswil, you can refresh yourself in the Gibswilerstube with a fine menu or something sweet – from various meat dishes over fitness plates to pizza and a varied dessert menu, there is something for all tastes. The S26 takes you from Gibswil station either back to Bauma or Fischenthal, if you arrived by car, or you can take the train towards Winterthur or Rüti.

Tickets can be purchased at the Steam Shop in Bauma at the station before departure or from the bus driver. No registration is necessary. There is enough space.
