Description

Starting from the village of San Bernardino, head towards Alp Fracch, located near the Confin ski lifts. The route initially winds through a charming forest of Norway spruce and mountain pine. Then you reach Confin Basso, the winter starting point of numerous ski lifts, near which is the Confin hut, where you can enjoy traditional and refined dishes in winter. The ascent continues along the Ri di Confin Basso, a lush stream flowing on the slope. From here, the view opens up to majestic peaks such as the Rodond, which reach 2830 meters altitude. After a pleasant walk through flower-rich pastures, you arrive at the upper station of the Tre Omen ski lift, located at 2514 meters, the highest point of the San Bernardino ski lifts. You climb the steep slope to reach the Passo Tre Uomini, also called Passo de Omenit, characterized by three stone figures standing 350 meters apart. From Passo Tre Uomini, at 2652 meters altitude, the descent begins to return to the village of San Bernardino. You cross meadows carpeted with flowers like primula integrifolia and snowbells, until reaching the Passit pass with its two beautiful mountain lakes. Here a fabulous panorama opens: to the north the San Bernardino pass, below the village of Bernardino with the splendid lake of Isola, and to the south the village of Mesocco. The descent continues entering again a stretch of forest, until reaching the village of San Bernardino.
