Gempen plateau route

The fun starts just outside the city gates at St. Jakob. The wooded path leads out to Seewen. The Seewen Music Box Museum is famous for its extensive collection of Swiss music boxes and various music automatons from three centuries. After a refreshment at the restaurant, the route continues over the Gempen plateau. A little after Schönmatt comes the highlight of the route: the Blackberry segment of the Gempen North Trail. Jumps and berm turns guide you down the approximately 500-meter long track towards Birseck – while the corners of your mouth keep rising!
