Description
At the very back of Vals, the mighty massif of the Güferhorn divides the alpine high valleys of Canal and Läntal in two. Right through the middle, between Zerfreilahorn and Furggeltihorn, is the Furggeltiweg, one of the most attractive pass hikes in the region. The long ascent leads directly above Lake Zerfreila up to an altitude of 2700 m, and the steep descent is finally rewarded with a fantastic panorama of the highest peaks and most impressive glaciers of the Vals Valley. The Rückweg from the Länta Hütte SAC to Zerfreila is much flatter and rewards persevering hikers with refreshment stops.
