Description
At the Berghaus Gabelspitz, a popular meeting point for motorcyclists and hikers, the path leads away from the busy mountain pass road through the Huriwald down to Steinmöösli. Over a short wooden footbridge you reach the well-known high moor, a swampy and mystical landscape with several ponds. The path then steeply descends further to Räbloch to the impressive natural bridge formed during the last ice age. Crossing the bridge leads you over the Räbloch gorge. After Schafschwand turn left, pass through the Pfaffenmoos and pass the Burenhübeli farm. Continuing with gentle ups and downs across the hills of the Schopfgraben. The Sorbach, which flows parallel to the path, soon flows into the Emme. You cross the bridge and follow the Emme along to Heidbühl and finally to our destination Eggiwil.
