Description
This varied hike starts in the small village of Leissigen on the shore of Lake Thun. After a short ascent, the path leads high above the lake and offers spectacular views of the deep blue water, the opposite shore, and the Bernese Alps. The highlight of the route is the approximately 140-meter-long suspension bridge over the Spissibach Gorge – an impressive structure in the midst of wild nature. The crossing is well secured and allows a floating feeling with an unobstructed view downwards. Along the way, several benches and viewpoints invite you to pause.
