Description
This breathtaking hike takes you through the Flims mountain landscape, over the Cassonsgrat and the Flimserstein towards Bargis. We reach the starting point of the tour via the new FlemX gondola lift and set off from the Cassons mountain station, where we enjoy a fine view of the upper Segnesboden. This plateau is a vast alluvial plain characterised by constantly shifting watercourses and numerous small lakes. From the Cassonsgrat, we continue over the Flimserstein, following the path on the eastern side towards Mutta Bella. Here, we walk partly close to the precipice and gain a deep insight into the Bargis Valley below, as well as the surrounding peaks. The narrow path leads us on across meadows and karst rock until we reach the alp above Bargis, where the via ferrata "Pinut" also ends. There is a small self-service kiosk here. The descent to Bargis is via the Scala Mola, the mountain path carved into the rock, which the cows also use at the end of summer. Once in the valley, you can treat yourself to a well-deserved meal at the Berghaus Bargis.
