Description
At Hasliberg, diverse and varied cultural landscapes await. Special gems are the sunny terrace Halgenfluh and the two Vorsasse Gallenblatten and Soli.
From here, it goes via Büel and the Feldmoos forest to the sunny viewpoint terrace above Halgenfluh. The view over Hasliberg towards Meiringen, Rosenlaui, and the Grimsel area is impressive. The varied terrain is also appealing. Small hollows and flat sections structure the slightly terraced slope with dry stone walls. The park-like meadows in the nearby Obere Vorsess were awarded the cultural landscape prize of the Oberland-Ost region in 2009.
Through forest and over pastures, you descend to Birchegg and Hohfluh. The small village is part of the extensive municipality of Hasliberg. Two more landscape gems line the last section of the hike back to Brünig Pass: The two Vorsasse Gallenblatten and Soli appear like islands in the forest. Besides orchids, numerous butterflies can be discovered here. The meadows are richly structured with stone piles, rocks, and field shrubs. These two small treasures were also awarded the cultural landscape prize of the Oberland-Ost region in 2014.
