Description
Those who want to reach Sternenberg on foot must overcome 230 meters of elevation. The village, surrounded by twelve densely forested valleys and ravines, lies at about 900 meters above sea level. From Bauma, the path follows the Feiet Bach. You pass the Hagheerenloch, and in the distance, you can already catch a glimpse of the small church of Sternenberg. For a cozy coffee break or a substantial lunch, it is worth stopping at the Restaurant Sternen or the Gasthof Sunnebad. On the way towards Manzenhub, Wila, you have a view over the entire Alpine chain. For a meal before the descent, the Restaurant Heubode is recommended. On the way down to Saland, a detour to Hochlandenberg with the ruins of a castle built on a rock ledge is worth it.
