Elsigenalp - To a quiet mountain lakelet

The Elsigenalp, a secret tip for winter sports enthusiasts, is a simple hiking area in summer without crowds, without spectacle, far from the large traffic flows of Frutigen and the Kandertal. Those who want to experience more than just a hike can follow in midsummer how alpine cheese is made and then enjoy an alpine snack. At the starting point of the hike at the mountain station of the Elsigenalp cableway and at the second signpost at the mountain inn Elsigenalp, the direction to Golitschepass is to be taken. To avoid a longer hard surface section, choose the direction Elsigsee at the next signpost and later Obere Elsige. From Obere Elsige, follow the mountain hiking trail to Golitschenpass, passing exposed sections to the highest point of the hike at the Stand. Here a view over the Kandertal to the east, as well as over the Entschligetal and to Elsigenalp with Elsigsee in the west, opens up. Now descending over pastures, you finally pass the idyllic Elsigsee. The hike follows a forest road to the destination at the mountain station of the cableway.
