Eiger Ultra Trail E51

The early bird catches the worm. Those who want to complete the 51 kilometers in one day better get up early. The ascent over the Grosse Scheidegg to First demands quite a bit. In return, the panorama becomes more impressive with every meter of altitude. Upon arriving at Faulhorn, a short break is worthwhile. The view over Lake Brienz, the Black Forest, the Vosges, and the Jura makes the heart beat faster.

On the well-known high-altitude hiking trail to Schynige Platte, expect some hikers or bikers. From the mountain hut begins the steep descent to Burglauenen. The last kilometers back to Grindelwald mostly lead over asphalt roads.
