Dutjer Alp - Crap da Sevgein

Description
From Ilanz, you can roll in briefly before the first chain break. In Sevgein, however, the gradients become more moderate again - for a short time. Below the beautifully situated village of Riein, the route leads uphill on a single trail. However, well-trained cyclists will master this challenge with flying colors. The following alpine road up to Alp da Riein, which is 600 meters above sea level, climbs at a pleasantly regular pace. However, the Dutjer Alp has to be hard earned again with a short pushing section and often steep meadow trails.
Done: The Dutjer Alp at around 2000 meters above sea level is one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Surselva. The whole of the middle Surselva can be seen. On the opposite side, the Vorab Glacier, the Ringelspitz and even the town of Chur can be spotted.
The following singletrail over an altitude difference of 400 meters is challenging. Partly washed out and wet. But great fun for technicians. There is a short wellness break on the scenic alpine road back to Riein and the start of the crispest trail of the tour - the Crap da Sevgein. Quite rideable at the top, it gets rocky in places further down and is no longer rideable for everyone. But don't worry, it's only short and then it's smooth again.
Now you could cycle straight back to Ilanz on the ascent route. However, we recommend a nice addition via Castrisch. Field paths and easy single trails make for a wonderful end to the tour.
