Description

The high plateau Brambrüesch can be easily reached with the mountain railways from the city of Chur. The hike first goes straight ahead to the mountain restaurant and then goes up on the right side of the ski lift to Malixeralp and further to Spundis, where you are rewarded with a great panorama towards the Bündner Oberland. Via the Hühnerköpfe (ski lift mountain station) it continues upwards through a diverse and beautiful alpine flora. At Furggabüel you finally reach the highest point and are rewarded with an impressive panoramic view all around. A two-part panorama board informs here about the surrounding mountain world and also the well-visible mountain ranges of the Tektonikarena Sardona (UNESCO World Heritage). Only a short walk and the Dreibündenstein is reached, marked by the clearly visible border stone where you can also sign the summit book. Continuing with splendid views, you now hike further towards Pradaschier. After a relatively steep descent, turn right. Then it goes gently downwards to Galtialp and you cross on a beautiful hiking trail over Trittwald back towards Brambrüesch. Along the way, a detour to the idyllic Edelweiss hut beckons, where you can refresh yourself. Back in Brambrüesch, three mountain restaurants with sunny terraces are available so that you can enjoyably conclude this wonderful circular hike before returning to Chur by mountain railways.
