Donnschtig Jass Route

This circular route begins in Herdern, a charming little village in Thurgau with a beautiful little castle. It crosses the green expanses of the Seerücken and heads to the popular 360-degree viewpoint 'Hochwacht.' With views over the Rhine and all the way to the Alps, it's a perfect place to take a break and dangle your legs on the swinging bench. After a short rest, it goes back down the Seerücken through the woods and into the Seebach valley. Along the Hüttwilersee, one of three idyllic lakes in the valley, various swimming spots invite you for a dip in the cool water. The bike path continues through the green rural region with scattered farms and small hamlets. The end of the route is the Kartause Ittingen, a former monastery complex and today's cultural center. Here you can immerse yourself in the rich history of the Kartause or enjoy a cool Ittinger beer at the Mühle restaurant and play a game of Jass.
