Description
At the starting point of the hike, the Säriswil Dorf bus stop, the signpost shows the intermediate destination Wohlen. After a short stretch along the main road, turn into Grabenmühlestrasse and descend to the farmstead. Here turn left towards Möriswil. Like in Säriswil, the stately farmhouses impress here. The route continues over fields and briefly through woods. At Bannholz, after leaving the forest, the view of the Bernese Alps opens up. Over a country road, then straight ahead over a grassy path and along a single-family home district, you arrive at Oberwohlen. This settlement is to be left on a winding route and you head towards Wohlen. On the cantonal road, go a short distance to the left and then turn right into Kirchgasse. Now follow the signpost to Gäbelbach. Past the church and the cemetery, you reach Wohleibrügg. After crossing the bridge, turn left onto a field path into the forest. A forest path with countless steps in the middle section leads to a clearing. In this is the lonely single farm Stürlene. At the hiking trail junction at the end of the clearing, keep left. On level ground, you reach the hamlet Riederen. In clear weather, the high Alps, the Stockhorn range, the Bantiger, or the Ulmizberg can be seen. A final descent leads to the Gäbelbach bridge. Up Gäbelbachstrasse, right through a building passage and then through an underpass past the tram stops Gäbelbach and Ramuzstrasse to the destination, the Bern Brünnen Westside train stop.
