Description
The starting point is the picturesque small town of Diessenhofen with its covered wooden bridge. From there, follow the Rhine via Rheinklingen and Wagenhausen to Stein am Rhein, where you cross the Rhine bridge. A short stop in the pretty old town with its painted houses is worth it. Then the route runs downstream on the German Rhine side, past Hemishofen and to Büsingen am Hochrhein, the well-known German exclave. Then continue to Schaffhausen, where a detour to the Munot with a beautiful view is possible. Afterwards, the return journey follows on the right Rhine side via Feuerthalen and Langwiesen, through the shady Schaarenwald, past St. Katharinental back to Diessenhofen.
