Description
You start the tour in Bäretswil and walk through the upper village towards Tiesenwaldsberg. This small hamlet is home to the Junod vehicle museum, which has been collecting various vehicles such as cars, tractors, carriages and bicycles for over 50 years. It is definitely worth a visit. After the stopover, continue along the little-used road to Stockrüti. This is where you will find the last waterwheel-driven Sagi in the Zurich Oberland. The old Sagi still works wonderfully, see for yourself. At the Stöckweiher pond behind the sawmill, you have the opportunity to take a short break. You then continue through small hamlets to Tannen. The ascent through the forest to Hohenegg begins here, followed later by the descent to Hinterburg. You then walk back to Bäretswil via the Greifenberg ruins. There is a cozy fireplace at the ruins, which is ideal for a stop with the family. The children can let off steam and barbecue a sausage in comfort.
