Leisurely by gondola – or by bike on the paved alpine road – you go up to the Stockhütte. Now and then, the view wanders over the deep blue Lake Lucerne with the city of Lucerne in the background. A gravel path leads over moor and alpine meadows in a protected raised bog. At Alp Ronen begins the most challenging part of the route: on the way to the rustic Choltal, technical riding skills are tested. The Choltal stream offers some picnic spots to relax after the challenging descent. The road (beware of oncoming traffic) leads back to Emmetten.
