Challenging mountain bike route to the Belchenfluh viewpoint

This bike route leads from the old town along the Aare canal to Schönenwerd, Niedergösgen, and Lostorf up to Wartenfels Castle and further via Antenne Froburg to the Hauenstein pass height. After crossing the main road, it passes the beautiful little church of Ifenthal to the demanding long climb on the old military road over the Challhöhe to the Belchenfluh. Here we get off the bike and walk up the stairs to the Belchenfluh viewing peak. After enjoying the beautiful view, the ride goes via Guidemhöhe, Allerheiligenberg, and a stop at the farmers' restaurant down to Hägendorf. After passing under the SBB tracks near the station, it goes flat along the bike path to Olten and then along the Aare back to Aarau.
