Castle hike Birseck Castle stroller option

The hike leads through Arlesheim past a playground to the Ermitage. Stroll through the idyllic Ermitage and enjoy the beautiful nature. If you want to make a barbecue stop, the Gobenmatt fire pit is a great spot. The stroller-friendly path to Birseck Castle runs along the road for a short stretch. Please be careful there. On the way back through Arlesheim, there are several options for an ice cream stop or a visit to the bakery.

Please note:

The Birseck Castle ruin is open for visits from Easter to October 31 on Wednesdays and Sundays from 2 pm to 5 pm. Otherwise, the castle ruin can only be admired from outside.
