Description
From Brigels, you can reach the idyllic Brigelser See within minutes, which you bypass on the right. Continue towards Waltensburg through the flower meadows of Miglié to the Curtginet valley station. Along the main road, let yourself roll into the Oberdorf Waltensburg, where you turn off towards Brigels at the road junction. Soon you will reach the fire pit Uaul Pign and shortly thereafter the Ruina Grotta (Kropfenstein). With children – and everyone else – it is worth making a stop here. You now cycle uphill on the rough dirt road via Munsaus to the viewpoint Crest la Crusch. You have a view of the Ilanz valley plain up to Disentis. The Escherstein is also located here. It commemorates the builders of the connecting road Waltensburg-Brigels completed in 1870: Escher von der Lindt, de Latour, and Simon Bavier, the first Grisons federal councillor. From here, it is not far to the starting point.
