Bussalp-Holzmatten-Rasthysi-Lochsteinen (No. 57)

The sunny Bussalp is the starting point of this leisurely winter hike. Buses run daily from Grindelwald station up to Bussalp. Once there, follow the marked path running parallel to the road downwards to the Holzmatten pasture. Then the hike continues with gentle ups and downs over open pastureland and through woodland to Rasthysi. Treat yourself to a small break in the cosy Rasthysi pub and strengthen yourself with a typical dish and a delicious coffee.

Fresh and warmed up, continue downhill to the Lochsteinen bus stop, from where you can take the bus back to Grindelwald. Those who want to skip the bus can continue the hike into the village. Enjoy the magnificent views of the snow-covered mountain peaks of the Jungfrau region throughout the hike.
