Bort - Oberer Gletscher No. 16

The route starts at Bort, the first mid-station of the Firstbahn. First, follow the alpine road to Wittegg. There you cross the mountain cart track and continue on the hiking trail towards Schäftigenmoos. With a bit of luck, you can watch the chamois grazing or buy a piece of alpine cheese here. The hiking trail then continues towards Wandela and through the forest further to Unteren Lauchbühl. If your legs burn here, you can take the local bus line 128 back to the valley. If you still have enough energy, take the hiking trail further down towards Restaurant Wetterhorn.
