Bonaduz Forest (256)

The best way to start this mountain bike route is in the village of Bonaduz, which together with Rhäzüns forms a true high plateau. Bonaduz is also the gateway to the natural monument Rhine Gorge. After crossing the idyllic forest landscape near Bonaduz on well-maintained forest roads, you will ascend on a quiet road that leads with a great view to Sigl Ault. Soon a single trail awaits you that flows down to the panoramic road above the Rhine Gorge. The "Ruinaulta", as the gorge is called in Romansh, is one of the most magnificent and diverse landscapes in the Alps, formed 10,000 years ago by a landslide. You now follow this with a splendid view down, past the "Zault" viewpoint (photo stop recommended), before you finally dive back into the forests and ride back to Bonaduz on extensive forest roads.
