Description
The route starts at the train station in Siegershausen and leads through a picturesque landscape. The path goes over gentle hills and through fields to the Bommerweier nature reserve, located in the Thurgau municipality of Kemmental. Here you will find the eponymous, idyllic Bommerweier. It is the highlight of the route and is also described as "the most beautiful of what is still available in this form in Thurgau." The small lake gets its name from the Bommen area in which it is located. The quiet spot is surrounded by forests and meadows. It forms an important habitat for waterfowl, amphibians, and other animal species. The diverse flora and fauna offer interesting nature observations and provide some romantic spots to linger. The path then leads to Bernrain, a charming destination above Kreuzlingen. The view of the extensive Lake Constance region is unique. Recreation in untouched nature – this is guaranteed on this route.
