Birdwatching bike route at Lake Constance

Every year, a huge number of birds embark on a migration journey to spend the winter in warmer regions. Lake Constance is the hub for thousands of them. More than 300 bird species live in the nature reserves of Lake Constance or recharge their energy there for the further journey south. This bike route leads to the most beautiful observation points in the nature reserves on the German, Swiss, and Austrian shores of Lake Constance. A detour to visit the Federsee nature reserve in Upper Swabia is also worthwhile, which offers optimal birdwatching conditions in the moor landscape via its 1.9 km-long boardwalk.
