How does the Bern November Window work? From November 1 to 30, 2025, the city of Bern becomes a stage for glowing surprises: every day a new "November window" opens – lovingly decorated, festively presented. 

You might know the idea from "Advent windows" in the countryside – in Bern, it’s just celebrated a bit earlier. From November 1 to 30, every evening a new window is unveiled in a different location in the city. Behind each window is a local business, a neighborhood association, or a creative initiative.

On the opening day, the locations are inaugurally celebrated – sometimes with mulled wine, sometimes with music, or a light spectacle. Those who are in the right place at the right time can look forward to atmospheric encounters and lovingly crafted settings.

Some windows remain visible until Christmas and enrich the alleys and squares of the federal city during the Advent season as well. So a walk through the November windows is worthwhile multiple times.
