Baby carriage hike: fir trees as strong as giants
Informationen zur Route
Description
At the highest point of our hike, we pass large orchards and reach the wildlife observation point with information boards on native animal species. The large Tännligarten forest playground and barbecue area offers play opportunities for all ages with a Tyrolienne, a giant swing, a suspension bridge and much more. At the end of our hike, aviaries with exotic birds await us.
From the Sissach Voregg bus stop, we walk back along the road for about 100 m and then turn onto the little road towards Isleten. The white signposts of the Oberbaselbieter Rebenweg accompany us from here to Sissach. The path climbs steadily alongside orchards and becomes steeper further up. At the field barn below Isleten, we turn right. In this area, the path has been repaired in places with coarse gravel. We soon come across a wildlife observation stand, which shows us pictures of native animals and provides information about their way of life. Now we pass a small pond biotope and continue downhill. Where the hiking trail from the Bischofstein ruins joins our route, we cross the downhill section of a "Bike Endless Trail". Great caution is required here! The Tännligarten forest playground soon beckons, with lots of play equipment supported and held up by tall, sturdy fir trees. Older children will also get their money's worth here. Our hike continues along the wide marl path. From the edge of the forest, we can follow the yellow signs again. Passing the Bergweg bus stop, we reach the Ergolz. Here, the Exotic Aviary Association maintains aviaries where various colorful bird species can be admired. After the bridge, the hiking trail branches off the main road and leads through the town center to Sissach railroad station.
