Around Bern - over the Lisiberg

Easy, close to the city and incredibly scenic is the high-altitude hike over the Zingghöch and the Lisiberg. It offers much of what the walking heart desires: pastureland, shady forests, varied paths as well as magnificent distant views of the Gantrisch chain and the Bernese Alps. The excellent view is earned through two short but steep climbs. One in Burisholz shortly after Niederscherli and the second in Hornwald just after Oberscherli. On the high-altitude hike over the Zingghöch, the climbs are quickly forgotten and at the latest upon exiting the forest at Lisiberg, this short but worthwhile hike is counted among its secret tips.
