Around Bern - around the Hürnberg

The wooded hilltop of the Hürnberg in the southeast of Bern is the setting for this varied and scenic circular hike. In Grosshöchstetten we take the path to Schlosswil and circle the Hürnberg counterclockwise. At Schufelacher, it is worth taking a detour through the stately avenue to the impressive Wyl Castle. Afterwards, you ascend in a wide arc to the scenic hamlet of Hürnberg and Ballenbühl. The lookout point of the same name is one of the most beautiful in the Bern area. Passing lonely farms and through quiet forest sections, the return route leads back with much panorama to Grosshöchstetten.
