Arnialp Engelberg

From Engelberg station, the starting point of the Arnialp route leads to the valley station of the TITLIS cable car. To the left of the station, the paved Gerschnistrasse (expect construction traffic on the road) leads towards Untertrübsee. Steadily ascending but protected from the sun by the forest, the road winds up to the Alp Untertrübsee. There you will already find the first opportunity to stop for refreshments. For connoisseurs, a little insider tip: the restaurant is known for the best meringue in the region.

From the restaurant, the forest clears, offering a view of the mountain world. Continuing straight ahead, the road passes the Wanghütte. Once you have passed it and crossed the Arnibach, the destination is reached. During a well-deserved break, you can admire the surrounding mountain world including Engelberg's local mountain, the Hahnen. Then you return to the valley by the same route.
