Description
Ardez stands at the foot of the "Muot da l'Hom", which we climb on this loop. Around 1050 metres of altitude difference are covered on this scenic loop. We start east of the Ardez railway station, heading uphill through the village. After 100 metres we turn left and enter Ardez at Plazzetta. Then we cross the main road and walk past the cemetery and the church. Always in a north-westerly or uphill direction, we follow the signposts to Munt. We cross the scattered settlement of Maiensässen and follow the alpine road to Alp Murtera dadoura. We bypass this on the left and follow the signposts towards Maranguns. From Maranguns, the highest point of the hike, the Chamonna Cler, becomes visible. Here it is worth taking a short detour to the idyllic mountain lake Lai Raduond.
The descent from the Chamonna Cler reveals views from Scuol to Susch. After Munt, we then walk back along the ascent route to the end point of the tour in Ardez.
