Appenzellerweg Stage 3: Urnäsch - St. Peterzell

Following old pilgrimage routes, the route crosses the Appenzell region from east to west with changing views. To discover are quiet chapels, large and small rivers, near-natural alpine pastures, typical farmhouses, and hospitable inns. 

On the third stage, the path leads along the old church road over the Tüfenberg with panoramic views to Schönengrund, which offers traditional inns. Beyond the Tüfibach (canton border), the old Toggenburg country road leads through the St. Gallen area to the former provostry of St. Peterzell.
