Ammertenspitz (2613 m a.s.l.)

This summit is relatively easy to reach from Engstligenalp. From the starting point of the route at the aerial cableway summit station Engstligenalp, the route first crosses the entire high plateau before the actual ascent begins. The climb to Ammertenspitz starts gently uphill and becomes increasingly steeper before the ridge. From the ridge to the summit is not far. The view to Wildstrubel and Gletscherhorn is simply amazing. At the top, the 360° panorama is almost unsurpassable, as now the view north to Simmental and Engstligtal is also free. The descent towards Ammertental and further into the Simmenfälle is very rewarding under good snow conditions.
