Alpweg Trail No. 3

The starting point of the Alpweg Trail is at Sibet Schirli. The Alpweg Trail serves as an extension of the Wetterhorn Trail No. 1. Accordingly, you start at the Hotel Wetterhorn and follow the Wetterhorn Trail No. 1 or No. 2 to Sibet Schirli. From there, the trail turns left. With a view of Reeti and the Grindelwald-First winter sports area, the route winds through the forest and over meadows to the Alpweg. To the left of the piste begins the descent towards Stähliboden. Thanks to the impressive view of the Mättenberg and the Wetterhorn, time flies by quickly, and you soon reach the Grindelwald - Grosse Scheidegg road. From here you can take the bus back to Grindelwald. Those who wish to extend the trail have two options. Shortly after crossing the road, you come across the Mühlebach Trail No. 4. To the left, you ascend back to the starting point at the Hotel Wetterhorn. To the right, you descend to the church in Grindelwald.
