Alpenpanorama Way Stage 1: Rorschach - Trogen

The hiking experience starts with a beautiful section along the lake promenade. After the station, it continues inland with a slight incline. Passing Wiggen Castle and Wartensee Castle with its large garden and terrace. After about an hour and a half, you arrive at Wiehnacht-Tobel at 615 m above sea level. Along the railway line, the route soon crosses the Mattenbach. Then follows Heiden. The village lies on a sunny terrace high above Lake Constance. It is also called a Biedermeier village because of its classical village core. Further uphill over meadows and through short forest sections, you reach Kaienspitz. The view of the Alpstein and Säntis is fantastic. Shortly afterwards, you arrive at the next village, Rehetobel. Here follows the steep descent into the Chastenloch. Here the three communities of Trogen, Speicher, and Rehetobel meet. A restaurant invites you to refresh yourself so that afterwards the last steep ascent to Trogen can be mastered.
