Description

From the Promulins Arena, the route leads via Samedan to Muntarütsch, where the ascent to Alp Muntatsch begins. Even before you reach the alp, you are treated to a magnificent view of the Bernina massif and over St. Moritz to Piz da la Margna. If you have time, you can take a break at Alp Muntatsch; an absolute insider tip is the homemade Kaiserschmarrn. From Alp Muntatsch, the route is relatively flat to Alp Munt, then continues along the panoramic trail below Piz Padella towards the Marguns mountain station. From there you head downhill via Cristolais back to Samedan, where the starting point, the Promulins Arena, is reached. Those wanting to shorten the route can turn off at Alp Munt and take the technically demanding trail through the forest to the San Peter cemetery and back to Samedan.
