Description
Shortly after the start, you reach the Rütiwald and soon after the Tüfelsburg, one of the largest earthen castles in the Swiss Midlands. Its castle hill, elevated by ten meters, is surrounded by several ditches and ramparts. Nevertheless, it probably had a cultic rather than defensive significance. In Bibern, you reach the valley of the same name. You have arrived in the heart of the Bucheggberg. Agriculture shapes the landscape here. The ups and downs over fields and forests continue. After the solar village Hessigkofen, you follow the forest hike to Brügglen and learn various useful things about the forests of the Midlands. Particularly idyllic is the Mültäli, whose stream historically powered mills and stamp mills. Nearby Buchegg invites you to take a detour with its castle, restaurant, and vineyards. Through Oberholz, it continues towards Felli, where jazz greats like Dollar Brand once stayed. From Lüterkofen, it is not far to the Lohn-Lüterkofen train station.
